Patrick Simmons

Patrick Simmons’ 20-year career spans four continents, working in corporate, entrepreneurial, diplomatic, military, and non-profit environments. Patrick has over 15 years’ experience in management and corporate governance within several industries on strategic initiatives costing up to $300M, and currently serves as the strategic visionary and executive producer of Pathar.

Since 2004, Patrick has specialized in the financial, corporate communication and media and entertainment industries, working and consulting in diverse areas from structured finance and fund governance to film and television production and marketing.  He has experience in all aspects of media production, both on-camera and off, from acting to producing, directing and editing. His experience also includes planning and program-managing acquisition and implementation of a $1M high-definition television studio.

Patrick's past production clients and joint venture partners have included SABC, BBC, BET, Coke, Pepsi, PetroSA, Oando, and the foundation of former South African President F.W. deKlerk.  He has also developed and consulted internationally on feature film partnerships and setup of special purpose vehicles, and currently sits on the advisory board of Keystone Studios Inc.

Patrick additionally sits on the boards of multiple international funds with assets of over $400M, and is a currently registered fund director approved by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.  He has also served as director and officer for numerous for-profit companies globally, including those with clients in over 50 countries.  Patrick's previous professional experience leading teams performing multi-national financial, operational, technology and internal control reviews for a Fortune 100 board solidified his expertise in managing, analyzing and controlling cross-functional operations and risk.

Patrick continues to serve the United States Government in uniform as a reserve military officer whenever called upon, most recently temporarily serving as the director of public affairs and chief communication officer for The Air University during the Air Force's full-time talent search.  He has also produced and directed numerous promotional and marketing videos for the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Reserve, including Winning Your Wings II and Weapon of Choice.

Patrick is an alumnus of the New York Film Academy and holds a B.S. Computer Science degree from The Citadel.  He holds further BSc Honours and MBA business-degrees from the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, South Africa.  Patrick is also a graduate of both The United States Defense Information School and John F. Kennedy Special Warfare School, and has received advanced training in strategic communications, public relations, marketing, behavioral economics and cyber support operations.
