George Moragemos

George Moragemos has been a top executive producer, line producer and director in the international film and television industry for over 30 years. George is known for having created some of the top television commercials in both Europe and Africa for such diverse clients as Citroën, Diageo, Nescafe, Jeep, The Edrington Group, and the Dodge automotive group.

After graduating from Damelin College, George became interested in photography and started a career in commercial photography, becoming one of South Africa's in-demand fashion photographers.  George founded The Grand Taste Production Company in 1982, which was responsible for creating top advertisements for fashion clients including Edgar’s and Lorenzo.  Within 7 years he made the jump from fashion photographer to film and television director, creating movies and commercials for many clients including Chivas and the Sunday Times, and was featured in the Greek Forum in 1993.

In 1996 George moved to Cape Town, which had become the film capital of South Africa, in order to further pursue his passion for both television commercial and feature film production.  Since then, he has worked as an executive producer for some of South Africa's largest and best-known film companies, including Moonlighting Film Production Services and Boomtown Films, and is considered to be a serious player within both South Africa's local and international film industries.

Pathar Productions was created out of a desire to move away from a large factory style production services company to a creative company that is able to personalize its service to our clients.  Now Executive Producer and Chief Marketing Officer for Pathar Productions PTY Ltd in Cape Town, George focuses on the creation of highest quality productions, with an eye to tailoring our service to meet the specific and unique creative needs of our clients.
